International Application Information:

Deadline: December 1, 2008 Note: Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only after all applications received before the deadline have been processed.

Thank you for your interest in the graduate program in the Department of Political Science at Indiana University. You may view the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Bulletin by going to http://www.indiana.edu/~bulletin/iub/grad/.

We are now accepting applications for those interested in starting graduate study in the Fall Semester 2008. The deadline for international students is DECEMBER 1, 2008. In order to be considered for admission and for financial aid, your completed application, including official GRE and TOEFL scores, must be received by this deadline. There are no exceptions; therefore please ensure that all documents are forwarded to us by December 1st. TOEFL scores are required of all international students for whom English is not the native language. You must take the GRE General Test, and TOEFL examinations no later than October 2007 in order for the scores to be reported to us by December 1. The Application is also used as the financial aid application. There are no additional application forms for departmental financial aid.

Required Application Materials: Application; Personal Statement; (3) Letters of Reference; Official Transcripts; Sample of Written Work (a paper presented in a class or at a conference, which would indicate your writing ability in English); GRE General Test; and TOEFL.

Materials from International students must be received by International Admissions no later than December 1, 2007 for consideration for admission and financial aid for Fall Semester 2008.

You may download an application from the World Wide Web at Indiana University's on-line application site http://www.indiana.edu/~iuadmit/international/welcome/ , or you may submit an application using the On-Line Electronic Application site http://www.graduate.indiana.edu. Alternatively, send for printed application materials at this e-mail address, laroches@indiana.edu or by writing to: Graduate Secretary, Department of Political Science, Indiana University, Woodburn Hall 210, 1100 E. Seventh Street, Bloomington, IN 47405-7110. Be sure to provide your name and complete address. Additionally please indicate whether you want to receive hard copies of the other materials presented in this Web site, besides application forms. State that you need an international application (not domestic).
